Having recently seen The Courteeners play at The Octogan in Sheffield I was keen to see them on a festival stage and what better than headlining The Big Gin on the Saturday? Kicking off with ‘Are You In Love With A Notion?’ Liam Frey knew exactly what the crowd wanted and the crowd were really for it with people on shoulders and so many flares. The 16 song set seem to go by in the blink of on eye, finishing off with ‘Not Nineteen Forever’ and ‘What took You So Long?’ Cracking festival band.
