Keyside delivered a powerhouse performance at Nottingham’s historic Rock City on 9-10-26, setting the stage perfectly for headliners Red Rum Club.
The Liverpool quartet brought their distinctive, jangly Merseybeat indie-rock sound to a packed venue, instantly captivating the early crowd. Keyside delivered a powerful set featuring tracks from their self-titled debut album, effortlessly filling rock city with their dynamic and distinct Scouse character.
The band showcased sharp musicianship and undeniable charisma, highlighted by standout performances of tracks like “Runaway” and “Nikita” that left the sold-out crowd thoroughly energized.
The setlist flowed seamlessly, but it was the closing run that truly solidified their grip on Nottingham. Mid-set highlight “Nikita” had the floor moving, its crisp guitar lines cutting through the legendary venue with studio-level precision. The distinct Scouse character in Parker’s vocals added an authentic, gritty edge to the performance, giving the venue a brilliant taste of the northwest’s modern music revival.
For a support band, Keyside played with the confidence of seasoned headliners. By the time they walked off the stage, they had undoubtedly earned a whole new contingency of East Midlands fans, leaving Rock City buzzing and proving exactly why they are one of the most exciting bands on the UK indie circuit right now
