On Friday 9-10-26 Red Rum Club returned to Nottingham to a sold out Rock City, having played here last year supporting Blossoms after selling out Rescue Rooms in 2024. It was great to see the packed out venue and the entire crowd just wanted to sing along with the mersyside mariachi masters themselves.
Red Rum Club are an absolute masterclass in live music. From the moment they hit the stage, the energy in the room was electric. The band’s signature blend of indie rock and that soaring trumpet sound filled the room.
The band played Hole In My Home just before the encore and the entire time we waited for the to return, the crowd sang the refrain, which was quite beautiful. The evening ended with Freed From Desire playing, Of course the crowd were singing and dancing along, with Fran dancing around the stage with us.
