Caity Baser – A very fun new singer to check out!

In the centre of England, Derby hosted its second TK Maxx – Summer Sessions Festival on the weekend of the 12th – 14th of July. It ran Friday to Sunday with Sunday having the times rescheduled as revellers (and acts) were clearly going to be torn between music and football. The venue for the festival is under the big top in Markeaton Park, which really made a great venue for a selection of the charts biggest acts. Brighton based Caity Baser kicked of the Friday of the festival to an already busy tent, The twenty year old Brit award nominated Pop phenomena, entertained fans with her cheeky lyrics and chatty banter. If you have been keeping an eye on the charts, you would have heard one of her numbers. She looks like she comes straight out of the 70’s, which shows she is also tapping into the Retro resurgence like headliner Becky Hill and she really knows how to put on a show, doing so many different poses and moving round the stage like she is possessed. With catchy infectious pop tracks, you really can see why she has been dubbed the new Lily Allen. Songs like ‘I’m a Problem’, ‘Pretty Boys’ and ‘Oh Well’ you can see why she is quickly getting notarity. Even though personally I don’t know these tracks that well myself, I can see that they are great Pop songs. I think I will be listening to Caity, so next time I see her I know her better.
